Girls' Section
Welcome to the Undy Girls’ Section!
We formed in October 2018 and since then have established a growing group of footballers aged 4 – 16, with 5 league teams in 2023-24 season. Our Women's squad has several players who have progressed from Junior football with us, and we have a steady feed of younger players now moving up the age groups. This starts with the Huddle programme, which is an FAW Trust initiative to give girls aged 4 - 11 an introduction to fun, friendship and football - see below for some exciting club news relating to Huddle.

We train on Friday evenings (U13 - U16) and Saturday mornings (all other age groups) at the Club, and we would love to welcome more girls (and coaches!) to come along and join us. So, whether you have played football before or never kicked a ball in your life, why not give us a shout & come and see what we do?
2018 - where it all began! Coaches Rhi and Dave set out on a journey with our very first girls.
How it's going... over 100 girls playing regularly and enjoying their football, with 12 coaches and parent helpers now on board, (but always room for more coaches and helpers!).
It is a great time to get involved in female football here in Wales. The FAW are strong supporters of the growing girls' game, with lots of investment in grassroots football, new leagues being established and new teams springing up. Following on from the success of Euro 2022, and with growing interest in WSL and Welsh Leage women's football, the demand for participation is really ramping up, so as well as welcoming new players, we are always keen to hear from anyone who would be interested in coaching, helping out behind the scenes or becoming a referee. All of our off-pitch team are volunteers and we all find it hugely rewarding and great fun too. Training and support is provided, so even if you have never been into football but want to help us on our journey and provide fantastic opportunities for girls in our community, please get in touch with our Junior Secretary.

Our girls' section, and the girls who play in mixed football within the wider Undy juniors' section, have a fantastic pathway from mini football, through competitive junior football, to senior football with the Women's Senior team - please see the seniors' section for further information or contact us to find out more about our senior female football setup.
Huddle is a great introduction to girls' football for girls aged 4 - 7, and is all about fun, friendship and footie! Several of our current frmale junior players have started their footballing journey with Huddle, and the programme is a flagship for the FAW in the growth of female football in Wales. To find out more, please contact us.
As you can see, we have a lot going on in the Girls' section - to find out more and get involved, please get in touch here.
