FAW McDonalds National Award - Spirit of Grassroots Football
Undy AFC are delighted to announce that we have won the National Award for Spirit of Grassroots Football in the 2024 FAW awards, sponsored by McDonalds. The award was presented to representatives of the Club, at a prestigious evening event in Cardiff. The award recognises the hard work across the entire Club in providing grassroots football and other activities to our Community, and included recognition for the Autism & Disability Football Sessions that we host at the Club. The FAW’s Head of Grassroots Football, Ben Field said:
“The FAW Grassroots Awards is a personal highlight for the year. The flagship FAW event is an opportunity to recognise and thank the people that dedicate their time and passion to keep our beautiful game going, our regional and national winners truly are the beating heart of Welsh football. A big llongyfarchiadau and diolch to tonight’s winners!”

FAW McDonalds National Awards - Community Coach of the Year
In 2022, the Club were delighted to be recognised in the FAW National Awards, with our very own Sam O'Shaughnessy winning the Community Coach of the Year award. This is another recognition of the Club's progress in developing the Women & Girls' section, having been involved with the FAW's Huddle programme from the outset.
